EXPANSION
The Expansion Series are works created from 2019-2021, many of which were included in my solo show, “Revisions” at Sparks Gallery in San Diego in 2021. Themes include: the circle as divine, birth, regaining balance, and loss and transition.
To give some personal context underlying the themes, many of these works were created while I was pregnant with my second son (which was our first year living in San Diego) or during his birth and first year of life which coincided with the emergence of covid and the subsequent shutdown.
Works are available unless indicated otherwise.
This was worked over (MOTHER 40x30 in 2023) you can see the imprint of the raised circles behind it as I worked raw canvas over this piece which was called "Circumference," acrylic, canvas and resin on panel 2021.
